چکیده
This is the first study in literature investigating effects of different spatial configurations (open, semi-open and enclosed) shopping centres on user perceptions. The aim this to determine centres’ perceptions users, investigate current trends predict likely designs for consumer-wise future. Accordingly, open-air Konya Bedesten Bazaar, Forum Bornova Shopping Centre, enclosed Kule Site Centre were selected as sample areas. questionnaire was administered 300 participants participants’ demographic characteristics, reasons choosing visiting centre, physical, landscape sensory participants. According results data analysis obtained by SPSS program, it has been determined that contemporary consumer less interested places, longing traditional bazaar. In addition configuration, market images local values seen be perceptually prioritized consumers. context, very important centres, which are a new trend emulate features, establish relationship with open air environment, use real equipment such green-water element, urban furniture strengthens perception city centres. addition, concept "freshness" specified most users. It essential due forming basis determining design criteria future creating fictions according requirements, theoretical studies related this. contributes providing valuable insights planners, architects, investors terms

Store Managers – the Seismographs in Shopping Centres Store Managers – the Seismographs in Shopping Centres
Purpose: The aim of this paper is to investigate (1) the link between store managers’ evaluation of how customers assess a shopping centre and their own evaluation of the centre and, based on that, (2) the relevance of store managers in reflecting upon and informing the management and marketing practices of the local shopping centre management. Methodology: A conceptual model is developed based...
متن کاملAutomatic generation of spatial configurations in user interfaces
The usability of graphical user interfaces relies to a large extent on the cognitively plausible visualisation of the application data structures, and in particular, the spatial arrangement of these visual elements. While the popularity of graphical interfaces has increased dramatically in recent years, the necessary design skills have not developed with the same pace. The thesis addresses this...
متن کاملA Framework for Generating Spatial Configurations in User Interfaces
This paper describes an approach to the problem of designing and implementing visual presentations in direct-manipulative user interfaces. Such presentations are often complex and their construction requires in-depth design knowledge. A framework is proposed that includes declarative models and inference mechanisms, aimed to significantly reduce the demands on the interface developer. Models of...
متن کاملUser satisfaction with commuter walk-in centres.
Pilot commuter walk-in centres have been located close to national rail stations in major English cities, provided by private healthcare companies for the NHS, and offering access to doctors and nurses. This study used a survey to evaluate user satisfaction levels with this new service. Thirty-three per cent (1828/5574) of users completed a questionnaire. Centres demonstrated high levels of use...
متن کاملRelatedness with different interaction configurations.
In an inclusive fitness model of social behaviour, a key concept is that of the relatedness between two interactants. This is typically calculated with reference to a "focal" actor taken to be representative of all actors, but when there are different interaction configurations, relatedness must be constructed as an average over all such configurations. We provide an example of such a calculati...
